Finance apprentice is recognised at national awards

Selwood Housing Group are proud to announce that Hollie Evans,18, has been  ‘highly commended’ for her work as the housing group’s finance apprentice at the prestigious Housing Association National Accountancy Awards ceremony hosted in London on Tuesday 5th July 2016.

Although Hollie narrowly missed out on the best newcomer title, she was singled out for praise by the judging panel who remarked, “Hollie is committed to making a difference and is ambitious to improve with a clear idea of impact and future plans. She is an enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and has made an impression in a short space of time.”
Group chief executive, Barry Hughes said: “Congratulations to Hollie for being nominated and shortlisted for this national award, she can be extremely proud of herself. I was really pleased to hear that Hollie’s efforts had been highly commended by the judging panel at HANAA.”

Hollie has worked at Selwood Housing Group since January 2015 learning
accountancy across The Learning Curve, Selwood Housing and Silcoa. As well as working in this very demanding role, Hollie is studying for her AAT accreditations achieving 100% in three out of five level 2 exams and successfully progressing onto level 3.
