building effective practice in partnership working to support young people (aged 18-24) to progress to employment and apprenticeships
With support from LSIS (the Learning & Skills Improvement Service) we are working with our members and delivery partners on the theme of effective partnership working to support NEET young people. We are focusing on facilitating partners to share the good practice that improves engagement, retention, achievement and the sustained progression of learners – especially those who have come from the NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) cohort.
The outcomes will include:
- increased collaboration between partners
- greater understanding of the needs of the NEET group
- more effective programmes and progression support for the target group
- an on-line resource of useful tips, information, links and comments
We aim to set up local area networks and are also keen to establish ‘thematic’ based collaborations on-line. To start this project, it would be very helpful if you would complete a short, anonymous survey so we can gather some contextual information and ascertain potential membership of the local area networks.
Thank you, we look forward to working with you in the future.
