The Learning Curve has successfully achieved its reassessment for the Matrix Standard in information, advice & guidance (IAG) services.
The Matrix standard is the national quality kite mark for IAG in England and Wales. It is also a requirement of key government funded contracts including nextstep. More importantly, Matrix is a valuable development tool for organisations who are committed to continuous quality improvement as a way of life, as well as providing a quality service to their clients. Matrix provides the opportunity to gain acknowledgement of your organisation’s commitment to providing a quality service as well as national recognition.
The reassessment involved a week long assessment by a Matrix assessor who interviewed 22 members of staff, group interviews with 5 members of staff and ten clients, 14 telephone interviews with 9 clients, two members of staff and three partner representatives, observations at courses, head office, online services as well as a full documentation review.
The assessor noted that The Learning Curve presented a welcoming and friendly environment where the people are passionate about the work they do and is proactive in developing links with partner organisations to further opportunities for hard to reach and disadvantaged clients. The assessor identified four areas of strength which were over and above the standards.
The assessor noted that IAG is embedded in The Learning Curve’s provision and is key to enabling people to maximise their potential and for progression. Customer satisfaction is paramount at The Learning Curve and it continues to develop its services and its network of partners in order to offer opportunities to a range of client groups in the community. Despite the current economic environment The Learning Curve continues to provide a quality service in line with the stated values of ‘putting people first’ ‘embracing differences’ and ‘being passionate about what we do’.
