As part of an initiative to improve outcomes for children and young people by early identification, assessment of needs and intervention, this one day's training is for practitioners likely to undertake a Common Assessment where additional needs have been identified for children and young people. The course is designed to enable you to know when and how to undertake a common assessment and to explain the role of the lead professional.
LEARNING OUTCOMES :-
- Understand the rationale of and underpinning elements for CAF
- Understand how to use CAF to support the needs of children and families
- Apply existing skills and new knowledge to undertake CAF within own context
- Understand the issues of consent and confidentiality as they apply to CAF
- Understand the issues of data protection and information sharing protocols
- Contribute to the process of working effectively with other agencies to implement CAF
- Use common language to enable effective sharing of information across agencies and with children and families
- Understand the local context for the implementation of CAF
