Due to expansion we are recruiting an Engagement Worker to join our busy Young People’s Learning Team. In this new role, you will have the opportunity to work creatively to build a network of contacts and find ways of engaging with young learners and supporting them through induction to course completion and beyond. You will work as part of a supportive team, including working closely with another Engagement Worker who covers the north of the county to share best practice, contacts and information.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • mentoring qualification or significant previous mentoring experience
  • ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders from disadvantaged young people to senior managers in a variety of organisations
  • Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy
  • experience of organising events and meetings
  • willingness and ability to travel throughout the region (predominantly covering South Wiltshire, with requirement to attend meetings at Melksham head office)
  • excellent IT skills
