Working Together Southwest

This was an LSC funded regional project led by Learning Curve and Learning Plus (Devon & Cornwall) which ran until March 2006. The aim of the project was to develop closer relationships between the voluntary sector and the LSC.

Only a few voluntary sector learning consortia received mainstream funding from the LSC so the SW region was ahead of the country with both Learning Plus and Learning Curve accessing mainstream LSC funding. This project aimed to use this experience and expertise to benefit the voluntary sector across the rest of the region.

Learning Curve led in Wiltshire & Swindon, Gloucestershire and the West of England. Learning Plus covered Dorset, Somerset, Cornwall and Devon. We worked with the LSC and the voluntary sector in each area to see what the position was and how best to move the agenda forward. The outcome was different in each area, dependent on local capacity needs and priorities.
