Full Cost Recovery

accounting imageThe course aims to teach the attendees to be able to allocate organisational costs to specific projects to improve the understanding of what each project really costs and encourage groups to apply for funding that covers all the costs of a project, including a proportion for the organisation’s central funds (core costs).

Reading and writing skills to level 1.

This course is funded through Adult Safeguarded Learning from the LSC.

Course content/objectives

You will learn the following on this course:

  • Use the principles of full cost recovery demonstrated using both the manual and spreadsheet case study example provided
  • Use full cost recovery to fully understand the cost of projects
  • Understand how drivers affect an organisations cost base and therefore the individual allocation of overheads to projects
  • Use a spreadsheet model to calculate the full costs for a small number of projects

Course qualification/assessment

There is no qualification. You will be asked to complete an Individual Learning Plan. A certificate of attendance will be issued by The Learning Curve.

All the teaching resources you need for this course will be provided. A note book and pen would be useful.
