This course aims to teach attendees about researching family history and genealogy. Suitable for beginners and the more advanced.

Prerequisites

Reading and writing skills to level 1.

Course content/objectives

The course aims to teach the attendees to:

  • Learn what documents to look at and how to use them
  • Explore locating information on the internet
  • Discover which websites and databases are specific to genealogy and family history
  • Use the sites to discover information about your own family

Course materials

All the teaching resources you need for this course will be provided. Please bring a note book and pen.

Further opportunities to cover other IT basics. Using Word and Excel etc.
